Camp Ironwood Springs takes place in the spectacular outdoor setting in South Eastern Minnesota. The camp is about 90 miles south of the Twin Cities, and just 15 miles west of Rochester, Minnesota off Interstate-90. Activities are designed to enrich children both physically and spiritually by experiencing a camp atmosphere in a sheltered environment and enriching our children’s relationship with God and with other Christian youth and families.
Ironwood Springs offers a variety of children’s activities that includes Christian living, horseback riding, crafts, field games, court games, swimming, hiking-exploring, obstacle courses, music, wagon rides, camp fires, sing-a-longs and novelty Olympics. The girls and boys dorms are located in the main lodge and are air-conditioned. Each dorm will be grouped by age and will have an adult counselor and co-counselor staying with the campers. The showers are also located in the main lodge so campers will not have to walk to an outside bathroom. If you and your children are looking for an exciting camp experience with other young people from the church - Camp Ironwood is for you!
Considering the ages of the youth at the camp, parents are encouraged to volunteer as staff. Hardworking, caring volunteers are encouraged to apply. We especially need staff with certifications and/or training in first aid, life guarding, crafts, hiking and exploring. All volunteers are required to arrive by 9:00 AM Sunday, July 20 for staff orientation.
